Changes to Megazyme’s Privacy Statement

This Site and our business change constantly. As a result, it may be necessary at times for Megazyme to make changes to this Privacy Statement. Megazyme reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Statement at any time and from time to time without prior notice. Please review this Statement periodically, and especially before you provide any Personal Data. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of any modification of the Privacy Statement will be deemed to be your agreement to any changed terms. This Privacy Statement was last updated in May 2018. This update has been made in support of new legislation from the European Union. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Megazyme is providing greater transparency on how and why we use your data and giving you more control over the data that you share with us.

What is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The new GDPR, which comes into effect on 25th May 2018, strives for greater data protection harmonisation throughout the EU, marking an end to fragmented data protection rules and enhancing freer movement of data within the EU. Having a single uniform law that’s fit for purpose will assist the EU to meet the demands of the digital era.

GDPR imposes additional obligations on businesses and strengthens your rights regarding your data.

Due to the changes in these regulations, Megazyme wishes to keep you informed on:

  • The types of data we hold on you.
  • The purpose it is used for.
  • Your rights in relation to how it’s processed.

We collect information about you in order to operate our business. What follows is information about what we collect, how this data is processed and shared. It also explains your rights under data protection law in relation to how we process your data.
