The LM20, rat, monoclonal antibody recognises the α-1,4-linked homogalacturonan domain of pectic polysaccharides in several species. It has no known cross-reactivity with other polymers. The LM20 antibody recognises and binds methyl esterified homogalacturonan, it does not bind to un-esterified homogalacturonan.
LM20 binds to a higher density esterified homogalacturonan epitope than JIM7.
