Megazyme has led the way in the development of methods for the measurement of dietary fiber and dietary fiber components. Over the past 20 years, Professor Barry McCleary has been placed at the forefront of new methodology in this area. This has resulted ultimately in AOAC 2009.01/2011.25 – the globally recognised reference method for the measurement of dietary fiber as it is defined by CODEX Alimentarius, which was developed exclusively by Megazyme.

In addition to this, it should be noted that CODEX has approved 14 methods for the measurement of dietary fiber and dietary fiber components. 5 of these methods were developed by Megazyme as are highlighted below.

Throughout this time, Megazyme has contributed heavily to the scientific body of knowledge in this area through peer-reviewed research publications. These publications contain the fundamental research that has led to the development of a wide range of Megazyme products and should provide keen insight into these topics.
