New polysaccharides exclusively available from Megazyme

New-Polysaccharides-Exclusively-Available-from-Megazyme-Slider-News

Megazyme recently launched various new high purity polysaccharides for use in research, biochemical enzyme assays and analytical applications, including reducing sugar and viscometric assays. These new Polysaccharides are exclusive to Megazyme.

P-PGAUP   Polygalacturonic acid (ultrapure)
Formerly denoted as P-PGACT, this product is "ultapure" and essentially free of methylation.

P-PGACIT   Polygalacturonic acid (from Citrus Pectin)
This Polygalacturonic Acid (from Citrus Pectin) has a low degree (~ 5%) of methylation which results in a lower "blank" value in reducing sugar assays, making it an ideal substrate for the measurement of endo-polygalacturonanase.

P-BGLU12   1,2-β-Glucan
1,2-β-Glucan is a rare, bacterial polysaccharide and is an ideal substrate for the assay of endo-β-1,2-glucanase.

P-ACXYL   Xylan (Birchwood, partially acetylated)
Xylan from birchwood has been isolated via steam explosion which preserves its "natural" acetylation pattern. This polysaccharide contains a large number of partially acetylated xylooligosaccharides and is an excellent substrate for acetylxylan esterase.
