September 19, 2004: The Fellows Award was presented to Barry McCleary for his meritorious work for the Association. He has been a member since 1993. During that time he has served as Study Director for two Methods Committees - Cereals and Dietary Fibre.
Five methods were submitted and approved and five studies were collaborated under his Study Directorship. Dr. McCleary co-organised the Dietary Fiber conference in Dublin, Ireland in 2000. He is currently serving as member of the Committee on Membership and is General Referee for Dietary Fibre.
In addition, Dr. McCleary was a recipient of the prestigious Harvey W. Wiley award in 2002. His due diligence, expertise, and contributions are well recognised by the scientific community.
