The Carbohydrate-Active enZYme (CAZY) database is a knowledge-based resource
that specialises in enzymes which are active on complex carbohydrates and
glycoconjugates. These enzymes are grouped, using a family classification
system based on protein sequence and structure similarities, into the following
enzyme activities: Glycoside Hydrolases (GHs); Glycosyl-Transferases (GTs);
Polysaccharide Lyases (PLs); Carbohydrate Esterases (CEs) and
Carbohydrate-Binding Modules (CBMs). Link to CAZY site.
